Stephanie Burgis’s Wooing the Witch Queen is an utterly charming and magical fantasy romance set in a Gaslamp-lit world filled with hags, ogres, and powerful queens. With a wicked sorceress, a disguised archduke, and a slow-burn romance filled with flirtatious poetry and dangerous secrets, this novel is a must-read for fans of romantic fantasy with a touch of humor and intrigue.

Thank you Stephanie Burgis, Bramble Romance, and Goodreads for the free book!

Oh, I enjoyed this book SO much! Every aspect—from the rich world-building to the delightful mix of magical creatures—was an absolute joy. I loved the dynamic between Saskia and Fabian; their chemistry was equal parts sweet and electric. Saskia’s sharp wit and Fabian’s flustered charm made for a truly engaging and heartwarming romance.

The magic system felt both fresh and familiar, blending classic fantasy elements with new twists that kept things exciting. The story’s pacing was perfectly balanced between action, intrigue, and tender moments, making it impossible to put down. While one character (Lorelei) irked me briefly near the end, it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment.

I am so excited to continue this series and spend more time in this beautifully crafted world. If you love fantasy filled with romance, adventure, and just the right amount of playful humor, you won’t want to miss Wooing the Witch Queen!

Pairs well with a black current and sage tea.
