💭 My Thoughts:

Lisette Marshall has outdone herself again, proving why this is my favorite series. Initially, I struggled to connect with Naxi’s character, and Thysandra was so firmly etched in my mind as a villain that I doubted I could care about their story. But wow, was I wrong.

This book had me ugly crying on so many levels for both Naxi and Thysandra. Marshall’s masterful storytelling pulled me in, broke my heart into pieces, and somehow left me feeling more whole by the end. Her ability to craft flawed, deeply human characters is unparalleled, and the growth both Thys and Naxi experience in this installment is nothing short of breathtaking.
