This was such a super cute holiday read! The Emma-inspired storyline instantly drew me in, as it’s one of my favorite Austen novels, and the parallels between the two were so much fun to spot.
One aspect I especially loved was that the characters were older and well-established in their lives, bringing a refreshing dynamic to the story. Frankie’s meddling nature was both endearing and hilarious, and her heart was always in the right place, even when things didn’t go according to plan.
The relationship between Frankie and Mitch was a standout. Their long-standing friendship and chemistry added depth and warmth to the story. Watching Frankie try to set Mitch up with someone else, while clearly missing her own feelings for him, was both funny and heartfelt.
This is the perfect book for anyone looking for a light, cozy read with plenty of holiday cheer. If you’re a fan of second-chance romances and love a sprinkle of matchmaking chaos, The Merry Matchmaker will leave you smiling from start to finish!
