A breathtaking romantic fantasy filled with dangerous fae, dark secrets, and twists you won’t see coming.
📖 Plot Overview:
In The Courting of Bristol Keats, New York Times bestselling author Mary E. Pearson delivers a captivating tale of family secrets and fae magic. Bristol Keats and her sisters are struggling to survive after the loss of their parents, but when mysterious letters from a supposed "aunt" start arriving, Bristol learns her entire life has been built on lies. Her father might still be alive, trapped in a world of fae and monsters.
Determined to save him, Bristol enters a realm ruled by the enigmatic fae king, Tyghan. But Tyghan isn’t just any fae; he’s the one who drove her family into hiding. Now, the two are locked in a dangerous game of secrets and power, both searching for her father—no matter the cost.
💭 My Thoughts:
The Courting of Bristol Keats blew me away. I was not prepared for how much I would love this book, especially since I wasn’t a big fan of A Dance of Thieves. But this story? It was pure magic from start to finish. The plot twists and secrets were executed flawlessly, keeping me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Pearson’s storytelling was incredible. The book feels like a perfect blend of The Hunger Games, Fourth Wing, and The Cruel Prince. The romance was intense, the world-building was vivid, and the characters were complex and compelling. Bristol’s journey of discovery and her dynamic with Tyghan had me hooked. I’m already in a major book hangover, and I can’t wait for the next installment in this series.
🌙 Standout Moments:
The revelation about Bristol’s father was a jaw-dropper, and the tension between Bristol and Tyghan was palpable. Every interaction between them was charged, and the final twist left me absolutely stunned.
🌱 Who Should Read This?
If you’re a fan of fae fantasy with intricate plot twists and addictive romance, this book is a must-read. Fans of The Cruel Prince by Holly Black, Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, and The Hunger Games will fall in love with this story.
📚 Final Thoughts:
The Courting of Bristol Keats is an absolute masterpiece. It’s easily one of the best books I’ve read this year. With compelling characters, a gripping plot, and a romance that’s both sweet and dangerous, this is a story you won’t want to miss. I can’t recommend it enough.
