OMG, this book was so cute! Having adored Dungeons and Drama, I was immeasurably excited to dive into another Kristy Boyce gaming romance, and this one did not disappoint—it might even be better than the first!
One of the highlights was getting to see so much of the party’s campaign—the in-game drama added such a fun and creative dimension to the story. The group of characters felt like the kind of people I dreamed of being friends with in high school, each with their quirks and relatable struggles.
Quinn was utterly adorable. Her personality, her style, and her heartfelt attempts to fit in with her new friends made her such a lovable protagonist. And Logan? Absolute dreamboat! He’s the quintessential nerdy heartthrob, and I loved seeing their chemistry unfold amidst the campaign chaos.
A surprising standout was Grandma Barbara—her cheeky humor and vulnerability as she faced the challenges of aging were deeply moving and added a layer of emotional depth. Her story really hit home as I’ve watched loved ones go through similar struggles.
Kristy Boyce has a real gift for crafting relatable, feel-good stories, and I hope she continues to write more of these wonderful gaming romances. Dating and Dragons made my DnD-playing nerd heart so happy, and I can’t recommend it enough!
