⚡ Quick Take:
A fast-paced supernatural competition with forbidden love, ruthless stakes, and a powerful prize. Perfect for fans of The Serpent and the Wings of Night meets Crave.
📖 Plot Overview:
Chaos is more than an urban legend—it's a brutal supernatural competition where shifters, fae, and vampires battle for fame, fortune, and power. For most, it’s a whisper in the shadows, but for me, it becomes all too real when my best friend drags me into its dangerous world.
Without magic of my own, I'd be a fool to enter, but the prize—a dagger of unimaginable power—could change my life. With it, I could gain magic, respect, and maybe even the heart of the dragon heir. Now, I must survive ruthless trials with no powers, no plan, and a dangerously attractive ally who could either save me or destroy me.
In Chaos, only one rule matters: win.
💭 My Thoughts:
Creatures of Chaos was an absolute thrill from start to finish! As a fan of YA fantasy romance, I couldn't get enough of the rich supernatural world Julie Hall has created. The lore surrounding the vampires, shifters, and fae is deep and fascinating, and I loved how the Chaos competition became a central part of the action. Each round was filled with tension and excitement, keeping me hooked.
The love triangle between Talon, Becks, and Lachlan was perfectly swoon-worthy. I was torn between rooting for both Talon and Becks—they're such well-developed characters that I couldn’t choose a favorite! Their interactions with the protagonist were filled with chemistry and tension, making the romance feel as high-stakes as the competition itself.
The audiobook narration by Amanda Leigh Cobb was spot-on. She captured the thrill of the trials, the intensity of the competition, and the emotional highs and lows of the characters perfectly. Her performance really elevated the story for me, adding an extra layer of drama and excitement.
My only gripe? The cliffhanger ending! I’m desperate to know what happens next. If you’re a fan of high-stakes supernatural battles, magical worlds, and romance, Creatures of Chaos is a must-read. I’m giving it a solid four stars and eagerly awaiting the sequel!
🔥 Standout Moments:
The intense trials of Chaos kept me on the edge of my seat. And, of course, the love triangle between Talon, Becks, and Lachlan? Pure chef’s kiss.

Creatures of Chaos delivers action, magic, and romance in equal measure. The cliffhanger left me wanting more, but this first installment is an exhilarating ride that I highly recommend.
💬 Discussion:
Who would you choose—Talon or Becks? And if you could wield one type of supernatural power, what would it be?
