This book was incredibly intriguing from start to finish. The mysterious, almost otherworldly connection between James and her twin brother, Johnny, felt so unique and eerie. It was easy to imagine this story being adapted into a movie, with its rich atmosphere and tense emotional moments. The connection between James and Micah added another layer of complexity to the narrative, bringing both romance and tension to the plot.

The setting of Hawthorne, California, in the dense California woods, was absolutely perfect for this story. The mountains and misty forests created an ideal atmosphere for a spooky, mysterious tale like this one. It was easy to lose myself in the world Young created, filled with hidden secrets and unexplained occurrences.

The narration by Christine Lakin was another highlight. Her voice was smooth and easy to listen to, perfectly capturing the emotion of the story. She brought James’ journey to life in a way that enhanced the already compelling plot.

Overall, A Sea of Unspoken Things is a mesmerizing story about family, secrets, and the truths we bury. It kept me hooked until the very end, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves atmospheric mysteries with a touch of magic.
