The action hit hard, the heartbreaks were devastating, and the world felt so raw and vividly built. Every emotion was so 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 and 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘺 captured. Honestly, I never wanted it to end. I’m absolutely feral waiting for the next book.

There was a lot I liked about this debut—Tristan and Isolde reimagined in a post-apocalyptic magical world? YES. I loved the dystopian setting, the dangerous magic, and the weight of two people falling for each other when they really, really shouldn’t. Isadora and Tristan had great chemistry, though I would’ve liked a bit more slow burn or resistance in their connection—it clicked a little too fast for me considering the stakes. And while the world was well-developed overall, Isadora’s father felt a little… disconnected from it? His beliefs and motivations could’ve used a bit more subtlety or development to feel fully integrated. Still, I enjoyed the overall vibe and I’m intrigued to see where the story goes next.
