Thank you Lyra Selene, Orbit Books, and NetGalley for the free book!

While I thoroughly enjoyed returning to this world, I found myself frustrated with Fia’s stubbornness and impulsive choices. Throughout the story, Irian's knowledge and experience often offered valuable guidance, yet Fia consistently dismissed his advice. Her actions often felt less like independence and more like reckless defiance, creating unnecessary conflict and setbacks.

Despite these frustrations, the book maintained its grip on me with its intricate world-building and engrossing plot. The Silver Isle, with its snowy landscapes and the cunning smith-king, provided a stunning and dangerous backdrop for the Tournament of Kings. The stakes were high, the alliances fragile, and the magic beautifully interwoven into the story.

The tension between Fia and Irian added an emotional layer to the book, even as their relationship was tested by their conflicting motivations. While I struggled with Fia’s refusal to trust Irian, I appreciated how their dynamic showcased the challenges of balancing love, power, and individuality in such a high-stakes environment.

Ultimately, A Crown So Silver delivered another intriguing and captivating installment in this series. The breathtaking world-building and thrilling plot twists more than made up for my grievances with Fia’s character arc. The ending left me eagerly anticipating the next book and the resolution of this magical, perilous tale. Fans of A Feather So Black won’t be disappointed!

Pairs well with a rose-infused black tea.
